A pyrotechnic display permit issued by the village of Herscher shall be required when any person sells fireworks or conducts or engages in a pyrotechnic display or a display of fireworks in the village of Herscher. Any person desiring to stage a pyrotechnic display or display of fireworks must submit a written application to the village of Herscher for a permit to conduct or stage a pyrotechnic display or display of fireworks at least fifteen (15) days in advance of the date of the proposed pyrotechnic or display of fireworks.
A. Any permit issued by the village of Herscher for the pyrotechnic display or a display fireworks shall not be transferable to another person or entity. The sale, possession, use and distribution of display fireworks for display are lawful only for the purpose given by the application for the permit. (Ord. 06-10, 8-21-2006)
