A person shall be guilty of cruelty to any animal:
A. By overloading, overdriving, overworking, cruelly beating, torturing, tormenting, mutilating, or cruelly killing any animal, or causing or knowingly allowing the same to be done.
B. By unnecessarily failing to provide any animal in his charge or custody with proper food, drink, shelter from weather or veterinary care to prevent diseases, maladies or other health problems.
C. By abandoning any old, maimed, infirmed, sick, or disabled animal.
D. By chaining of any animal continuously for more than thirty (30) minutes in a four (4) hour period. (Ord. 11-3, 2-21-2011)
