4-1-1: ASSAULT:

A person commits an assault when, without lawful authority, he engages in conduct which places another in unreasonable apprehension of receiving a battery. If any person shall be guilty of an assault within the village, such person shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined according to the provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code. (1983 Code)
