Not less than twenty four (24) hours prior to the proposed pyrotechnic display or display of fireworks, the fire chief of the fire protection district in which the village of Herscher is located, or his or her designee, must inspect the proposed display site and ensure that the display can be performed in full compliance with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards adopted and amended by the OSFM rules part 2.35 for the type of pyrotechnic display or fireworks display to be performed. The chief of said fire department providing fire protection must sign the display permit issued by the village of Herscher. (Ord. 06-10, 8-21-2006)
