(A) The Water Clerk for the village shall have the following duties and obligations:
(1) To maintain office hours in the Village Hall on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.;
(2) To send out bills to customers after the Water Commissioner reads the meters and prior to the first of each month;
(3) To enter the meter readings received from the Water Commissioner into the village computer;
(4) To receive payments from water customers in payment of their bills and to enter those payments into the village computer;
(5) To administer the process of providing service to new customers and have them fill out a customer information sheet;
(6) To notify the water customers whose bills are delinquent after the fifteenth of the month that their water will be shut off unless the bill is paid by noon on the Monday before the first Tuesday of the next month;
(7) To transmit to the Water Commissioner the name of any customer whose water is to be shut off;
(8) To notify the Water Commissioner when full payment has been received from a customer whose water was shut off and that the water may be turned on for that customer;
(9) To receive and answer all questions about past due water bills; and
(10) To perform any other duties assigned by the Board from time to time by ordinance.
(B) The compensation of the full-time Water Clerk shall be set by the Board at the time that a Water Clerk is employed.
(C) A person is hereby employed as the Temporary Water Clerk on a month to month basis at the pleasure of the Board.
(D) The Temporary Water Clerk shall be paid $10 per hour.
