A. At a committee's first meeting, the committee shall elect officers, including a chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary. If a vacancy occurs in an officer's position, the committee shall elect a member of the committee to fill the vacancy at the next meeting. The secretary need not be a member of the committee and shall keep an accurate record of all committee proceedings.
B. In the absence of the chairperson, the vice-chairperson shall assume the responsibilities of and act as the chairperson pro tem. If both the chairperson and vice-chairperson are absent from a specific meeting the attending committee members shall elect a chairperson pro tem for that meeting. (1995 Code)
