§ 35.004 EFFECTIVE DATE.
   (A)   Approval of voters. This subchapter shall become effective as to each cent tax after approval of a majority of the registered voters of the town voting on the ordinance in the manner prescribed by 11 O.S. § 16-112.
   (B)   Rate; purpose of revenues. Ordinances amending the tax rate or purpose of revenues shall become and be effective on and after the first day of the next quarter following an election in the town whereat a majority of the voters of the town approved the assessment or the tax purposes.
   (C)   Elections called. Elections shall be called by proclamation of the Mayor pursuant to resolution passed and approved by the Board of Trustees.
   (D)   Redirection of tax monies. An ordinance redirecting existing sales tax shall become and be effective on and after the first day of the first calendar month following an election in the town whereat a majority of the voters of the town approve the redirection of the existing sales tax herein provided for. Said election shall be called by proclamation of the president of the Board of Trustees pursuant to resolution passed and approved by the Board of Trustees.
