Except in cases where a different punishment is now or may hereafter be prescribed by ordinance or state statute, any person, firm or corporation who violates any provision of this code commits an offense, or misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction, be fined in any amount not to exceed $500
excluding costs. Each day’s continuation of an offense, or misdemeanor, shall be deemed a separate offense, or misdemeanor, and shall be punishable as such.
