Notwithstanding, however, no certificate of occupancy shall be issued (whether for new or existing buildings, or portions thereof) by the building inspector unless and until he or she shall be satisfied that the particular occupancy shall be in compliance with the applicable zoning laws and the health requirements of the County Health Department. Also, no certificate of occupancy shall be issued when the building or structure shall be considered unsafe, hazardous or shall be condemned by the Fire Marshal.
