For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
SOLICITOR. Any person who goes from house to house or place to place in the town for the purpose of selling or taking orders for sale, or offering to sell or take orders for goods, wares or merchandise, including magazines, or any article for future delivery, or for services to be rendered in the future, or for the making, manufacturing or repairing of any article or thing whatsoever for future delivery, including photographers and their agents.
