§ 50.10 SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT.
   (A)   Purpose. It is the purpose of this section and it is hereby declared to be the policy of the town, pursuant to the authority of the Oklahoma Solid Waste Management Act (27A O.S. §§ 2-10-101 et seq.), to regulate the collection and disposal of solid wastes in a manner that will:
      (1)   Protect the public health and welfare;
      (2)   Prevent air and water pollution;
      (3)   Prevent the spread of disease and the creation of nuisances;
      (4)   Conserve the natural resources; and
      (5)   Enhance and preserve the beauty and quality of the town’s environment.
   (B)   Participation in Kingfisher Hennessey Solid Waste Association. This section is passed and adopted pursuant to a solid waste management system authorized and provided for in the Solid Waste Management Act, and pursuant thereto an association has been formed wherein the town, in participation with Kingfisher County, may properly dispose of solid wastes in accordance with said act. The Trustees of the town, acting through their Mayor, shall be and they are hereby authorized to enter into said agreement for the organization of Kingfisher Hennessey Solid Waste Association, which said agreement is available for inspection in the office of the Town Clerk and made a part hereof, and which said agreement is hereby ratified and confirmed, and to abide by and perform the terms of said agreement, so as to comply with the intent of the Solid Waste Management Act of the state and the rules and regulations of the State Department of Health promulgated pursuant thereto.
