§ 71.06 TRUCK PARKING; STATEMENT OF PURPOSE.
The city finds that the parking of semi-truck cabs, semitrailers, box delivery trucks and trucks that exceed 20 feet in length or a width of eight feet (as measured at the widest points of the vehicle, not to include attached side mirrors) on any street in the city that is adjacent to a residential property creates a disturbance of the peace and quiet of residential neighborhoods and poses a traffic hazard to the residents of the city by reducing visibility to motorists and pedestrians and by reducing available parking. The parking of such vehicles further results in damage to city streets and unnecessary expense to repair such damage. The parking of such vehicles on city streets and alleys in residential areas must be regulated for these reasons.
