The Village Engineer shall make and submit plans, estimates and specifications for any public work which may be proposed or ordered by the Village Board. The Engineer shall also examine all public works under his or her charge and see that the plans, estimates and specifications for the same are properly executed. The Engineer shall receive reasonable compensation for his services and the same will be provided for in the annual appropriation ordinance on an estimated basis. (See 65 ILCS 5/3.1-30-5)
