The purpose of this Article is to provide for safety, health, public welfare through structural strength and stability, means of egress, adequate light and ventilation and protection to life and property from fire and hazards incident to the design, construction, repair, alteration, maintenance, removal or demolition of buildings and structures, and to control the architectural design of building or structures erected or to be erected within the corporate limits of the Village.
