(A) The City Secretary shall be ex-officio clerk of the Municipal Court, who may appoint a deputy with the same powers as the Secretary to perform the duties of clerk.
(B) The ex-officio Clerk shall hold his or her office during his or her term as City Secretary.
(C) The Clerk shall keep minutes of the proceedings of the court, issue all process, and generally perform all the duties of a clerk of a court as prescribed by law for a County Clerk in so far as the same may be applicable.
