(A) The Director of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Heath is authorized to mark fire lanes and no parking zones at any location on any grounds or property of the City of Heath, including the City of Heath Civic Center, which, in his or her opinion, are necessary to provide adequate access to any buildings or other property in the event of fire and to prohibit the parking of vehicles which block any fire equipment from leaving its regular storage area or entering an area necessary to fight a fire in any municipal building or property.
(B) The Director is directed to clearly mark such no parking zones or fire lanes with signs appropriate to give notice of the prohibitions, provided that the signs shall comply with the requirements of the Uniform Manual on traffic control devices of the State of Texas.
