(A) The Animal Control Officer of the City of Heath is hereby designated to act as the local health authority for purposes of implementation and enforcement of Tex. Health and Safety Code, Ch. 826, relating to the control and eradication of rabies.
(B) The Animal Control Officer shall have other powers and responsibilities as are delegated to the local health authority under the provisions of Tex. Health and Safety Code, § 826.017.
