Notwithstanding any provision of this chapter, the City Attorney is authorized to file suit for injunctive relief to carry out the provisions of this chapter, and to aid the Director of Public Safety or his or her designee in the official discharge of his or her duties, but it shall not be necessary to obtain injunctive relief as a prerequisite for seizure or destruction of fireworks.
