§ 52.14 CONSUMER PRICE INDEX ADJUSTMENT.
   All the above consumer rates for commercial and residential gas service shall be subject to increase annually based on changes in the Consumer Price Index or an amount less than the Consumer Price Index if voted on by the Board of Commissioners. Commencing effective on February 1, 2021 and on February 1 in each year thereafter, the prevailing fixed rates for commercial and residential customers and the add on rate for industrial gas customers may be automatically adjusted annually for increases in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U); U.S. City Average; all items, not seasonally adjusted, 1982-1984=100 reference base, and the new effective rate shall be incorporated into the budget ordinance for that year and amend the rates reflected herein automatically. If there is a decrease or no change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U), then there will be no change in gas rates for that year.
