(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a BB gun, air rifle, any apparatus which discharges a projectile by force of compressed air or gas, any gun, pistol, shotgun, or other firearm, within the corporate limits of the city.
(B) There are excepted from the prohibitions in division (A):
(1) Police officers and other law enforcement officials acting within the course of their duty;
(2) Any person acting in his own reasonable self-defense or the defense of some other person or property as defined by KRS Chapter 503; or
(3) Any person discharging same in a supervised exhibition or competition previously authorized and approved by the City Manager.
