It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or furnish within the city to any person under the age of 18 years, any cigarettes or cigarette material, or to give, sell, or barter the same to any person with the knowledge that the same is to be given, sold, or bartered to any such child, or to persuade, advise, counsel, or compel any child under the age of 18 years to smoke the same.
