§ 112.02 APPLICATION FOR LICENSE.
An application for a license to establish or operate a poolroom shall be in writing and shall state the proposed location of the poolroom, the name of the owner of the property where the poolroom is to be located, the number of pool or billiard tables to be used therein, whether or not the applicant intends to operate the poolroom himself, and if not, the name of the person or persons who are to operate the same. The written applications shall be filed with the City Clerk, who shall forward the same to the Board of Commissioners with such memorandum, recommendation, or data attached thereto, as the City Clerk may see fit for the information of the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners shall make such investigation as they may deem necessary and shall either approve or disapprove the issuance of a license to the applicant, and instruct the City Clerk in writing in respect to their decision. The City Clerk shall not hereafter issue any license for the establishment or operation of any poolroom without application therefor first having been approved in the manner herein set out by the Board of Commissioners, and in no event shall a license be issued until after the expiration of 30 days from the date of the application therefor.
