§ 54.04 WATER METERS TO BE PROVIDED BY CITY.
   (A)   All meters shall be installed, renewed, and maintained at the expense of the city, and the city reserves the right to approve the size and type of meter used. It shall be the policy of the city to test each water meter. In addition, upon written request of any customer, the meter servicing such customer shall be tested by the city. Should the meter test accurate within 2% the customer shall be charged a $50 fee for testing.
   (B)   Failure of water meter. Where a meter is found to be in error, the customer's bill will be adjusted in accordance with the Kentucky River Authority Regulations. Where a meter has ceased to register, the city will estimate the monthly bill of the customer for the months that the meter did not operate. The estimated bill will be based upon the average of the previous six months' usage.
