The Board of Commissioners shall be vested with the exclusive authority to hire, promote, discipline, suspend, or discharge members of the Police and Fire Departments, appoint Chiefs of the Police and Fire Departments, prescribe the qualifications and duties of the members of each department, grade the officers of these departments, and fix the salaries of the members of each department, all in accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 95.
