§ 34.47 OTHER OFFICERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   Officers of the Fire Department shall perform those duties as shall, from time to time, be ordered by the Fire Chief. They shall exert every effort within their ability and power to assist the Fire Chief in curbing fire hazards and carrying out the program of fire prevention as promulgated by the Fire Chief.
   (B)   The highest ranking officer on duty, in the absence of the Fire Chief, shall have charge and exercise all powers and duties of the Fire Chief, and be held to a similar responsibility, subject to approval of the Fire Chief.
   (C)   All officers of the Fire Department shall obey their superior officers, direct their subordinate officers in a reasonable manner, and report to the City Manager any failure to perform duties and orders on the part of any Fire Department employee.
