(A) There is created a Housing Commission for the city to consist of the Mayor as ex-officio member and four other members to be appointed by him for the term and having the qualifications set out in KRS 80.040. All appointments made by the Mayor to membership on the Housing Commission shall be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for approval.
(B) The Housing Commission shall be operated in accordance with and shall possess those powers set out in KRS 80.020 through 80.257.
(C) The Housing Commission shall fix the compensation of all its employees, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners.
