A. Entire City: All lands situated within the boundaries of the city are hereby classified and shall be and are hereby zoned as a residential zone and shall be used only for residential purposes and for purposes allowed in any overlay zoning districts, and the boundaries of the residential area hereby so zoned shall be the entire area within the boundaries of the city.
