(A) All underground storage systems which may contain flammable liquids shall have at least a one-inch vent pipe run from top of tank to a point outside of any building and shall end at least 12 feet above level of the ground and in a location remote from any fire escape, and never nearer than three feet, measured and horizontally and vertically, from any window or other opening of any building, and the tank vent pipe shall terminate in a gooseneck protected in the outer end by a 30-by-30 mesh, or equivalent brass wire screen.
(B) The vent pipes from two or more tanks may be connected to one upright; provided, they are connected at a point at least one-foot above level of source of supply.
