§ 92.22 INSPECTOR APPOINTED; INSPECTION.
   (A)   (1)   The Board of Trustees shall appoint some qualified person to make the inspections required by this subchapter for such term and compensation as the Board of Trustees may from time to time determine.
      (2)   No person shall be ineligible to serve as such inspector because of his or her holding some other office of or employment by the town.

   (B)   (1)   All installations shall be inspected semi-annually, prior to issuance of any permit required by this subchapter and during the first 15 days of July in each year during which the permit is in effect; provided that, no July inspection shall be made if the initial permit is issued after April 1 of any year.
      (2)   The holder of the permit shall pay an inspection fee of $1 to the town for each July inspection of installations supplying five appliances or less, and an additional $0.10 for each appliance over five. No inspection fee shall be charged for inspections made at the time of issuance of permit.
      (3)   If any person fails or refuses to pay any inspection fee required by this chapter within 30 days after notice that such inspection has been made, the permit of such person shall be revoked.
      (4)   Upon making each inspection, the inspector shall make a certificate of inspection, in duplicate approving, or disapproving, the installation. If he or she disapproves the installation, he or she shall state briefly therein his or her grounds therefor, and the holder of the permit shall have 30 days thereafter to remedy the defects, but during such period no use shall be made of the installation. One of the duplicate certificates shall be filed with the Town Clerk/Treasurer and the other delivered to the holder of the permit, or his or her agent in charge of the premises, and the same shall be deemed notice of the contents thereof and that the inspection has been made.
