(A) Any user of electric service from the municipal electric plant, who shall fail or refuse to pay therefor on or before the close of business on the twentieth day of each month, shall be disconnected by the Superintendent of the Electric Light and Water Plant, and the service shall not be again connected until all delinquent charges and the cost of disconnecting and reconnecting shall be paid in full, together with such other charges or expenses as are or may be incidental thereto, and the Superintendent of the Electric Light and Water Plant shall remove the electric meter from the premises of any person who shall fail or refuse to pay charges on or before 30 days after the first day of each month.
(B) (1) A disconnection fee of $30 will be added to all utility accounts that are not paid by the twentieth day of each month, effective 12-1-2024.
(2) The disconnection fee will not be applied to utility account balances made up of late fees.
