1-6-6: CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER:
   A.   Office Established, Appointment, Term: There is hereby established the office of chief administrative officer who shall be appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the corporate authorities.
   B.   Duties: The chief administrative officer is second in command to the chief operating officer. Additionally, the chief administrative officer assists and provides backup support to the director of community development and director of public works/village engineer, researches policy options, manages special projects, reports regularly to the chief operating officer, makes recommendations as deemed necessary for the health, safety, welfare or economic development of the village and other such duties as the mayor and board of trustees may assign from time to time.
   C.   Salary: The chief administrative officer shall receive such compensation as may be from time to time established by the mayor and board of trustees. (Ord. 1720-16, 11-28-2016)
