7-7-6: OTHER OBLIGATIONS:
   A.    Clear Approach: Customers must keep the approach to their mailboxes clear of obstructions to allow safe access for delivery. If USPS employees are impeded in reaching a mail receptacle, the postmaster may withdraw delivery service.
   B.    Physical Address On Mailbox Or Receptacle: Every curbside receptacle or mailbox must bear the physical address for the property as assigned by the city of Hawley.
   C.    Attachment For Newspaper Delivery Prohibited: No receptacles for newspaper delivery by private carriers may be attached to the post of a curbside receptacle or mailbox used by the USPS.
   D.    Damaged Receptacles: Damaged receptacles or mailboxes must be repaired by the property owner.
   E.    Snow Removal Damage: If a mail receptacle is damage by snow pushed or moved by the plow it is the property owner's responsibility for repairs. If a box is damaged by a direct hit by the blade of a city snowplow, the city will be responsible for the repair of the box.
   F.    Discontinued Operations: An owner who has determined to discontinue use of their mail receptacle must remove the receptacle and receptacle post within one month of discontinuance.
   G.    Repair Or Removal Of Receptacle: Inspections, if the director determines that a receptacle is damaged, unused, or dangerous they shall give notice to the property owner that it must be repaired or removed as per the city of Hawley nuisance ordinance provisions. (Ord. 247, 6-9-2008)
