A. Poundmaster: The city pound shall be such place as the city council may determine from time to time. The city council may hire a person to act as poundmaster, and he shall attend to the maintenance of such pound, presenting a proper claim to the city council monthly for the necessary expenses which he may incur in so doing, which claim shall be audited by the city administrator and if allowed by the city council, paid by the city administrator.
B. Interference With Officers: It shall be unlawful for any person to break open the pound or attempt to do so, or to take or let out any dogs or cats therefrom, or to take or attempt to take from any officer any dog or cat taken up by him in compliance with this chapter or in any manner to interfere with or hinder such officer in the discharge of his duties under this chapter.
