5-1-1: DEPARTMENT MEMBERSHIP:
The Police Department shall consist of a Chief, who shall have supervision over the Department, and such other officers and members as may be provided from time to time by the Mayor and City Council. All members of the Police Department shall be conservators of the peace and with the duties and powers assigned to such conservators by statute. (1996 Code)
