(A) It shall be the duty of the animal control officer to receive into such pound all animals brought there in pursuance of the provisions of this chapter, to take care of and properly feed all animals impounded, to deliver to the owner thereof all such animals as may be redeemed by such owner, give notice of such impounding to the owner when known, and any other duties delegated to animal control officer.
