6-2-9: DISPOSITION OF UNCLAIMED OR INFECTED ANIMALS:
It shall be the duty of the animal control officer to keep all animals so impounded for a period of ninety six (96) hours. Any unregistered animal required by law to be registered, or an animal that appears to be suffering from rabies or affected with hydrophobia, mange or other infectious or dangerous disease shall not be released but may be destroyed or disposed of. (Ord. 877, 5-2-2011)
