(A) Requirements: All dogs kept, harbored or maintained in the City shall be vaccinated and registered as herein provided on or before March 1 of each year. Registration tags shall be issued by the City Clerk upon proof of vaccination for rabies. A dog must be six (6) months of age to be vaccinated for rabies. The owner shall state at the time of registration the owner's name, address, animal's name, breed, color and sex of each dog, licensed and practicing veterinarian. The City Clerk shall issue the registration tag upon payment of the registration fee. The provisions of this section shall not apply to dogs brought into the City for the purpose of participating in any dog show or to service animals properly trained to assist individuals in need of aid.
