§ 50.42 UNPAID CHARGES TO BE COLLECTED AS UNPAID TAXES ON REAL ESTATE.
   In the event that charges for the removal or abatement of a public nuisance are not paid within 30 days after the mailing of the statement of costs as provided for in § 50.39 or service fees imposed pursuant to § 50.41 are not paid within 30 days of the mailing of the statement of such fee, interest shall accrue at the rates provided for in G.S. § 105-360 beginning on the first day of the first month after the costs have been incurred by the city. The costs and accrued interest shall be collected as unpaid taxes on real estate. The Tax Collector shall keep an appropriate public record of all the costs and any proceedings had under this subchapter.
