Upon successful completion of the Havelock Police Department firearms qualification, firearms may be carried and used by members of the Auxiliary Police Department only at the express direction of the Police Chief. City-owned firearms may be issued by the Police Chief at the beginning of a shift of duty and the issued firearms shall be returned to the Police Chief or his or her designee at the end of each shift.
