(A) Generally. Unless otherwise specified in this chapter, any owner or other person having custody of any animal in violation of this chapter shall be subject to the following enforcement provisions.
(B) Specifically.
(1) Citations. A police officer, animal control officer, or other authorized representative of the City is empowered to issue citations to the owner or other person where there is reasonable cause to believe that the owner has violated any provision of this chapter. A civil penalty of $25 shall be levied against any such person. The civil penalty shall be paid to the City Tax Collector within fourteen (14) days of issuance of the citation. Each animal found in violation of this chapter and each day’s continuing violation shall constitute a separate and distinct violation, subjecting the violator to any further and/or additional penalties.
(2) Combination of remedies. The provisions of this section may be enforced by any one, all, or a combination of the remedies authorized and prescribed by this chapter in addition to the penalties provided pursuant to § 10.99.
