§ 54.07 APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR, OR ALTERATION OF STORM SEWERS.
No person shall construct, repair, or alter any storm sewer system for the purpose of draining water from any land or premise unless he or she shall have first received approval in writing for the construction, repair, or alteration from the City Director of Planning and Inspections. The City Director of Planning and Inspections shall approve the construction, repair, or alteration unless he or she finds that the construction or repair work or alterations proposed would be contrary to the provisions of this chapter or any provisions of Chapter 53. The City Director of Planning and Inspections may impose reasonable conditions upon the approval of the construction, repair, or alteration to ensure compliance with this chapter and Chapter 53, which conditions may include, but are not limited to, specifications of the materials to be used and the manner in which the work or alteration is to be performed. Any approvals given by the City Director of Planning and Inspections pursuant to this section shall not create any liability for the City for or as a result of any such construction, repair, or alteration.
