(a) There is established, within the Police Department of the Village of Haskins, an Auxiliary Police Unit.
(b) The Mayor shall be the executive head of the Auxiliary Police Unit and shall make all appointments and removals of Auxiliary Police Officers. The Mayor shall also establish rules for the organization, training, administration, control and conduct of the Auxiliary Police Unit, with the advice and consent of the Chief of Police.
(c) The Chief of Police shall have exclusive control of the stationing and transferring of all Auxiliary Police Officers, under such general rules as the Mayor prescribes.
(d) Members of the Auxiliary Police Unit, which shall not exceed eight (8) shall be compensated at the rate of $1.00 per calendar year.
(e) The Clerk/Treasurer is instructed to notify the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation of the Auxiliary Police Unit of the Haskins Police Department.
