139.02 CHIEF OF POLICE.
   The position of Chief of Police shall have the powers and duties as set forth in Ohio R.C. 737.15, shall be appointed and sworn into office by the Mayor with the consent of Council; serve a probationary period as set forth in Ohio R.C. 737.17; and report to and be under the supervision of the Mayor. The position of Chief of Police shall be either a full or part time position for which compensation shall be determined from time to time by Council. The Chief of Police shall continue in office until removed therefrom as provided by Ohio R.C. 737.171.
