(A) Code adopted. The International Plumbing Code, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code for the city for the control for regulating and governing the design construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore. The Plumbing Code printed in book or pamphlet form, is hereby incorporated by reference in addition to all amended editions as though printed in full herein, insofar as such code does not conflict with the statutes of the state or other specific model codes adopted by the city or other specific laws of the city. One copy of the Plumbing Code is on file at the office of the City Clerk and is available for public inspection at any reasonable time. The provisions of the Plumbing Code shall be controlling throughout the city and throughout its extraterritorial jurisdiction.
(B) Revisions. The following sections of the Plumbing Code are hereby revised:
Section 101.1. Insert: City of Harvard, Nebraska.
Section 101.2. Amend first paragraph to read: “Scope. The provisions of this code shall apply to the erection, installation, alteration, repairs, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems inside the corporate limits of the City of Harvard, Nebraska, and within one (1) miles thereof, whenever said City is exercising its extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction within said one (1) mile area, except where otherwise specifically provided. The code shall also regulate nonflammable, medical gas, inhalation anesthetic, vacuum piping, non-medical oxygen systems and sanitary and condensate vacuum collection systems. The installation of fuel gas distribution piping and equipment, fuel gas-fired water heaters and water heater venting systems shall be regulated by the Fuel Gas Code of the City. Provisions in the appendices shall not apply unless specifically adopted.”
