§ 33.55 POST-ACCIDENT TESTING.
   (A)   When a driver is involved in an accident where a fatality is involved, the driver shall submit to post-accident drug and alcohol testing. When a driver is involved in a recordable accident and receives a citation for a moving violation arising from the accident, the driver also must submit to a drug and alcohol test. Following any accident, the driver must contact the city as soon as possible.
   (B)   The DOT requires that anytime a post- accident drug or alcohol test is required, that it be performed as soon as possible following the accident. If no breath collection can be made within eight hours, then attempts to collect a breath sample shall cease. If no urine collection can be obtained for the purpose of post-accident drug testing within 32 hours, then attempts to make such collection shall cease.
