§ 31.076 YOUTH COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP; TERM OF OFFICE.
   (A)   Membership.
      (1)   Membership shall be composed of 25 voting members, all between the grades of five through 11, whom must reside in the territorial limits of the city and the County Community School Corporation.
      (2)   The Mayor shall appoint one Youth Council Director and the Common Council shall appoint one Youth Council Director.
      (3)   The Mayor and the Youth Council Directors shall appoint Youth Council members.
      (4)   The County High School Administration shall be encouraged to recommend students for appointment to the Youth Council.

   (B)   Term of office.
      (1)   Each member of the Youth Council shall be appointed for a term of two years or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified. A term of office shall begin on January 1 of each year.
      (2)   Vacancies occurring on the Youth Council after the date of appointment thereto shall be filled by the Mayor or Youth Council Directors. The Youth Council may make recommendations to the Mayor or Youth Council Directors concerning persons to be considered in filling the vacancies.
