§ 31.047 PARKS BOARD; TERM OF OFFICE.
   (A)   Upon the original establishment of the Board, the terms initially appointed shall be:
      (1)   One member for a term of one year;
      (2)   One member for a term of two years;
      (3)   One member for a term of three years; and
      (4)   One member for a term of four years.
   (B)   In 2021, the city expanded the Parks Board by two members. The terms of these two new Board members shall be:
      (1)   One member for a term of one year; and
      (2)   One member for a term of two years.
   (C)   As a term expires, each new appointment shall be made by the Mayor for a term of four years. All terms shall expire on the first Monday in January, but a member shall continue in office until his or her successor is appointed. If an appointment for a new term is not made by the executive by the first Monday in April, then the incumbent shall serve another term. If a vacancy occurs, then the executive shall appoint a new member for the remainder of the unexpired term.
