§ 30.40 CITY CLERK-TREASURER, ELECTION AND TERM.
   (A)   Establishment and powers. The Clerk-Treasurer is the Fiscal Officer of the city and the head of the fiscal branch. He or she shall perform the duties assigned by I.C. 36-4-10 and other duties as the Common Council may require by ordinance.

   (B)   Election. The Clerk-Treasurer shall be elected by the voters of the whole city.

   (C)   Term of office. The term of office of the Clerk-Treasurer is four years, beginning at noon on the January 1 after his or her election and continuing until a successor is elected and qualified.
