§ 30.01 MAYOR.
   (A)   Establishment and powers. The Mayor is the city’s executive and the head of the executive branch. He or she shall faithfully perform the duties and responsibilities as set forth in I.C. 36-4-5 and all other applicable statutes of the state.
   (B)   Term of office. The term of office of the Mayor is four years, beginning at noon on the January 1 after his or her election and continuing until a successor is elected and qualified.
   (C)   Election. The Mayor shall be elected by voters of the whole city.
