1502.99 PENALTY.
   (a)   The City of Harrison Fire Chief may propose a fine for any violation of the City of Harrison Fire Code and fines will be assessed when a citation is issued. For each violation of the fire code the penalty imposed shall be no less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00). The Fire Chief may increase the amount of a fine after considering the gravity of the violation, the good faith of the person being charged, and the history of previous violations. No penalty shall exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per violation.
   (b)   Fines imposed by this section shall be paid to the City of Harrison for deposit in the general revenue fund. Such penalties may be recovered in a civil action in the name of the City of Harrison brought in Mayor's Court against the person responsible.
